Speaker of the House of Representatives and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto state, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal,  Saturday assured Nigerians that the President-elect,  Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,  would not let them down but strive to meet their yearnings and aspirations.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Shiyar Ajiya poling unit, 11 in Tambuwal local government area yesterday,  Tambuwal  reaffirmed that Buhari would work towards improving the living condition of Nigerians
He averred that their mandate was not going to be misplaced, saying the APC was out to provide them with good governance.
Tambuwal said he was mentally prepared to accept the outcome of the election and appealed to other candidates to accept it in good faith.
According to him, as a  Muslim, he believed that  power comes from God and he gives it to whoever he wishes , hence he was mentally prepared to accept the result of the election in good faith.
He said in Sokoto it was not about change of leadership, rather a continuity of good governance by the present administration.
He added that the massive  turnout of voters was a show of appreciation to the good policies and programmes of Governor Aliyu Wamakko - led government and as such the people of the state want APC to continue.
He however, assured them that if elected he would continue with the good work and initiate new ones that would further enhance their condition, adding that his government would concentrate on job creation, youth empowerment among others.
"If given the mandate, I will embark on creation of jobs for our teeming unemployed youth and continue from where Wamakko stopped,"he added.
